Legal Operations Manager
HUMAN Security is looking for a strategic and experienced Legal Operations Manager to help us scale the impact of our legal function as we continue rapid growth in cybersecurity. You will design and lead the infrastructure that enables our legal department to run like a high‑performing business unit. This role combines strategic planning, automation, technology, spend management and process optimization with hands-on execution. You will partner closely with the General Counsel, Sales, Finance, IT and business leaders to align legal support with company priorities and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- GTM & Contract Support:
- Draft and review key terms in NDAs, SOWs and Order Forms based on client requirements and in line with business risk.
- Partner with Revenue Operations to maintain and improve sales processes.
- Lead day-to-day support of IronClad (our current lifecycle management platform), including user training and adoption across legal and cross-functional teams.
- Strategic Planning & Analytics:
- Assess the maturity of our legal department and identify areas for improvement.
- Establish objectives that align with company strategy and create measurable KPIs.
- Design dashboards to track matter volume, turnaround times and external spend.
- Technology & Automation:
- Evaluate, select and implement legal technology (e.g., CLM, e‑signature, matter management) to streamline intake, automate workflows and improve data visibility.
- Drive adoption and train team members to maximize ROI.
- Vendor and Outside Counsel Management:
- Negotiate fee arrangements, manage vendor onboarding and track performance of outside counsel and legal service providers.
- Implement processes to ensure accountability and measurable value.
- Process Improvement:
- Map, document and refine legal workflows.
- Develop self‑service tools, playbooks and standardised templates to improve speed and consistency in contract review, compliance and risk management.
- Knowledge Management:
- Build and maintain a centralized knowledge base of policies, playbooks and precedent agreements.
- Ensure information is easy to access and reuse across the team.
- Compliance and Risk Coordination:
- Support risk and compliance programs by ensuring legal processes are auditable and aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate training and monitoring across the organization.
Requirements
- 7+ years’ experience in legal operations, legal project management, finance or consulting; experience in a technology or cybersecurity environment is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree required; JD a plus.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives, analyze department maturity, and use data to drive decisions.
- Hands-on experience implementing and optimizing legal technology platforms, including Ironclad, with strong data literacy and comfort working with metrics.
- Strong financial acumen with a track record of managing budgets and reducing legal spend.
- Excellent project‑management and change‑management skills, able to prioritise competing demands and deliver results on tight timelines.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills; capable of aligning stakeholders across the company.
- Familiarity with outside counsel management, contract lifecycle management and compliance workflows.
