Director of Contracts

Job Description:

I am currently partnered with a prominent manufacturer in the aviation and aerospace industry based in California. They are seeking an top tier Director of Contract Management to join their team and oversee their contractual obligations. Please see details below.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide management oversight to ensure all orders comply with contractual requirements.
• Direct Contract Managers and Administrators on negotiations, change orders, and revisions.
• Delegate signature authority within the Contracts group.
• Review job releases for accepted orders.
• Support all departments with contract compliance.
• Educate the Contracts team and other departments on updated regulations and guidelines.
• Review terms and conditions, non-disclosure, and teaming agreements.
• Sign customer certifications and representations.

Other Job Functions:

• Serve as Empowered Official supporting Export Compliance.
• Act as Government Property Administrator.

Supervisory Responsibility:

• Supervise one or more direct reports.

Education and Experience:

• BA/BS or equivalent contract experience, including negotiation, administration, and compliance with Federal DoD prime/subcontracts in the defense or aerospace industry.
• 10+ years of contract experience, with a minimum of 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of government regulations (ITAR, FAR, DFAR), export licenses, and contract structure.
