Job Description:

AMG & Associates, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Contract Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contract law, excellent negotiation skills, and proven experience managing complex contractual agreements. This role is crucial in our company's operations, as it will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering contracts with vendors and clients, ensuring strict compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

Responsibilities:

Contract Drafting and Review:  

Prepare and review contracts, including terms and conditions, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business requirements. One of the key responsibilities of the Contract Specialist is to meticulously identify potential risks and legal implications within contracts, thereby playing a pivotal role in risk management. Collaborate with legal counsel to address complex contractual issues.

Negotiation:  

Lead contract negotiations with vendors and clients to achieve favorable terms and pricing. Analyze proposals and negotiate key contract elements, including pricing, delivery timelines, and performance metrics.

Contract Administration:  

Monitor contract compliance, tracking key milestones and performance metrics. Manage contract amendments and renewals. The Contract Specialist will also be responsible for resolving contract disputes and issues with vendors and clients, thereby contributing significantly to maintaining healthy business relationships.

Contract Database Management:  

Maintaining an organized contract database ensures accurate recordkeeping and easy access to contract documents. Develop and implement contract management processes to streamline workflows.

Collaboration:  

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, legal, and operations, to ensure alignment on contract terms and execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in contract management or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and legal principles.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills are not just desirable; they are essential for this role. Your ability to articulate and negotiate complex contract terms will be key to our successful contract management.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex information and identify potential risks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
