Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Subcontracts Manager to lead and manage all aspects of subcontract administration in a dynamic DoD-focused government contracting environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and strong experience supporting Department of Defense programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full subcontract lifecycle including RFP development, source selection, negotiations, award, administration, and closeout.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable FAR, DFARS, and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Contracts, Procurement, Program Management, Finance, and Legal teams to support successful project execution.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate subcontracts, task orders, NDAs, and teaming agreements.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Maintain audit-ready subcontract files and documentation.
  • Support cost proposal activities and provide input to pricing strategies.
  • Evaluate subcontractor risk and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Mentor and support junior subcontract staff as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Contracts, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of subcontracts management experience in the GovCon space, specifically supporting DoD contracts.
  • In-depth knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other relevant federal regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage complex subcontracts in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with cost-reimbursable, fixed-price, and T&M subcontract types.
  • Proficient in contract/subcontract management systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, SAP, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • NCMA certification (e.g., CPCM, CFCM).
  • Experience with small business subcontracting and compliance.
  • Background working with major DoD agencies (e.g., Army, Navy, Air Force, DISA)
