President of Legal - New York Auto Museum

Company Description:

The NY Automotive Experience Center - New York Auto Museum is a proposed 125,000-200,000+ square-foot facility in Manhattan and a slated dual-charter corporation. Primarily operated as the New York Auto Museum Inc. with its nonprofit philanthropic wing the New York Auto Experience Inc. 501c3.

With features like a massive rooftop patio and partial glassed floors, future visitors will be able to view historical vehicles from unique perspectives. The museum also aims to redefine the traditional concept of an Automotive Museum by providing an interactive and immersive experience that allows visitors to sit up to 100 different vehicles.

Role Description:

This is a contract hybrid remote position for President of Legal New York Auto Museum Inc. The role is remote, requiring your presence online monthly. Board Members will collaborate on financial planning, analyze data, conduct research, participate in fundraising efforts, and contribute to marketing strategies.

Requirements:

  • MUST BE LICENSED TO PRACTICE IN NEW YORK
  • 3-4 hours maximum per month of active meetings with the team.
  • Attend one monthly board meeting 75% of the year
  • Sign our NDA & Sign the Board Welcome Kit
  • The position is for one year and auto renews
  • Issue shareholder agreements 
  • Review contracts 
  • Agree to pursue one line item (semi-self-directed initiative)

  • Shares and cash options in the New York Auto Museum Inc.

  • Cash options from retaining capital financing

Qualifications:

  • Finance and Fundraising skills
  • Analytical Skills and Research abilities
  • Marketing knowledge 
  • Experience in strategic planning and decision-making
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
  • Understanding or love of the automotive industry is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related field
  • Leadership, Strategic Planning, and Decision-Making skills
  • Strong Communication and Relationship Building abilities
  • Experience in the Automotive or Museum Management
  • Project Management and Team Collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or related field
