The organization manages a large disposal network and collection fleet, including a significant number of natural gas trucks, and operates renewable energy plants utilizing landfill gas. It also offers healthcare waste solutions and collaborates with customers to support their sustainability goals.
About the Opportunity:
The Logistics Operations Manager leads a team responsible for managing transportation operations through third-party suppliers in trucking and rail sectors. This role focuses on optimizing customer engagement and maximizing profits across multiple business lines. The position ensures efficient coordination between transportation services and operational needs, contributing to the overall performance and success of the transportation division.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor and improve third-party transportation network processes and team performance.
• Provide expertise in implementing cost-effective transportation solutions.
• Develop and enforce policies; negotiate rates; onboard and manage supplier performance.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and partners to resolve issues and implement improvements.
• Engage with customers to maximize transportation service sales.
• Coordinate with plant operations to align transportation with production activities and address concerns.
• Identify and implement key business process improvements.
• Plan and allocate resources to meet operational goals.
• Manage departmental staff including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluation.
Requirements:
• Bachelor''s degree or, alternatively, a high school diploma/GED with four years of relevant work experience.
• Seven years of relevant work experience beyond education requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver''s license with current state registration.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% within Texas regions and other sites as needed.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Base pay range from $90,000 to $110,000 annually.
• Eligibility for a 15% bonus.
• Salary offer depends on experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
