About The Role

The Legal Systems Lead is responsible for the strategic oversight, operational management, and continuous improvement of MiniMed's Legal Technology Portfolio, including core platforms such as ONIT (legal operations, matter management, and workflow automation), Anaqua (intellectual property management, patent tracking, and trademark administration), and Navex (ethics, compliance, policy management, and incident reporting).

This role serves as the primary point of contact between the Digital Technology organization and MiniMed's Legal stakeholders — including General Counsel, Associate General Counsel, IP Counsel, Compliance Officers, and Legal Operations leadership — ensuring that technology solutions are tightly aligned with the legal department's strategic priorities, regulatory obligations, and operational workflows.

The Legal Systems Lead is accountable for managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and service level agreements, overseeing system implementations and upgrades, and driving adoption across the legal user community. This individual facilitates requirements gathering sessions with legal stakeholders to identify process inefficiencies, translates business needs into technical solutions, and prioritizes enhancements within the portfolio roadmap.

Additionally, the Legal Systems Lead ensures that all legal systems maintain appropriate security controls, data privacy standards, and audit readiness — given the highly sensitive and privileged nature of the information managed within these platforms. By building strong, trusted partnerships with Legal leadership and maintaining a deep understanding of the evolving legal technology landscape, this role ensures that MiniMed's legal function is empowered with modern, efficient, and scalable tools that support the organization's growth, risk management, and compliance objectives.

  • Engages with business leaders to understand how strategies and data-driven changes can improve efficiencies and add value.
  • Works with legal to support the organization's growth, risk management, and compliance objectives.
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders and IT Product Owners to develop business requirements for product or system changes.
  • Drives business agenda during solution delivery process.
  • Functional Skills: Ability to analyze data and trends in order to develop recommendations to solve business problems.
  • Additional Skills: Problem Solving, Detail Oriented, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Customer Service, Process Improvement, Communication.
  • Technology: Understanding of systems, software and technological concepts, Familiarity with data analysis tools and data modeling methodologies.

Required Knowledge And Experience

Requires 7+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree or 12+ years of experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertain solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$108,000.00 - $162,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Short Term Incentive (STI).
