In-House Legal Operations Analyst (Full-Time/ Remote or Hybrid in Los Angeles, CA/ Contract Engagement)

Are you a legal operations professional looking for a fresh opportunity? Latitude is partnering with an in-house legal department to recruit a full-time, in-house Legal Operations Analyst on an engagement basis. This role sits at the intersection of data and strategy, supporting the full lifecycle of outside counsel engagement. Responsibilities include engaging law firms on matters, structuring and implementing alternative fee arrangements (AFAs), and implementing those arrangements in e-billing platforms.

The role requires strong experience working with complex legal datasets and the ability to translate analytics into clear, actionable insights for attorneys and business leaders. Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience with Legal Tracker (formerly Serengeti Tracker), advanced Excel skills (pivots, lookups, and analytics), and a solid understanding of the metrics legal departments use to manage outside counsel.

This is a full-time, 12-week engagement, working West Coast hours. The ideal candidate will be available to work a hybrid schedule in the Los Angeles, CA area, but outstanding remote candidates will also be considered.

Requirements For The In-House Legal Operations Analyst

​

•  6+ years of legal operations experience
•  Legal operations experience in an in-house legal department supporting the full lifecycle of outside counsel engagement
•  Past hands-on experience with e-billing platforms, including Legal Tracker, and advanced Excel skills
•  Deep knowledge of structuring and implementing alternative fee arrangements in e-billing platforms
•  Comfort working with high-volume legal data, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
•  Outstanding professional references

Compensation

​

Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $80,000 to $90,000. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).

Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage for work or acts or omissions provided within the scope of a Latitude-authorized engagement. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
