Information Technology Contract Manager
Job Description
A utility client is seeking a highly skilled REMOTE IT Contracts Manager to lead the negotiation, drafting, and management of complex technology contracts, particularly for major system implementations involving managed service providers (MSPs). This role will serve as a key liaison between IT, Legal, Procurement, and third-party vendors to ensure favorable terms, mitigate risk, and support the successful delivery of large-scale technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end contract negotiation processes with managed service providers and technology vendors for major IT system implementations.
• Draft, review, and revise Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and other contractual documents.
• Collaborate with IT, legal, security, finance, and business stakeholders to align contracts with project goals, risk tolerance, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure contractual terms reflect performance expectations, milestone delivery schedules, service credits, liability caps, data security/privacy clauses, and exit strategies.
• Monitor contract compliance and performance metrics post-award, supporting issue resolution and contract amendments as necessary.
• Maintain organized contract records and support audit and reporting requirements.
• Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and legal/regulatory developments relevant to IT sourcing and vendor management.
This is a fully remote role with the candidate needing to work PST hours.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in IT contract negotiation, with demonstrated experience handling complex system implementation contracts and MSP engagements.
- Experience advising on Request for Proposals (RFPs), evaluating vendor responses, and negotiating contracts with large system integrators (e.g., Accenture, Infosys, PWC, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of IT procurement practices, commercial and legal terms, and software licensing models (e.g., SaaS, PaaS, on-premise).
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills with attention to detail.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- SAP Ariba experience
- JD or advanced contract management certification (e.g., IACCM, CIPP, or NCMA) is a plus.
Pay
$80hr - $90hr
