eDiscovery Sr. Associate
Job Description
UnitedLex is pleased to announce that we are currently seeking applicants for a client secondment opportunity. We anticipate that the individual will start in the role on July 1, 202 5 . The rotation is expected to run six months with the possibility of extending thereafter and is not expected to lead to a long-term opportunity. The opportunity will be remote with the expectation that the individual will be available to travel to New Brunswick, NJ, two to three times during the assignment for an extended stay lasting one to two weeks each time.

This individual will work on active litigation and investigation matters from the client side. The primary focus will be small to mid-size matters as well as serving in a supporting capacity to the eDiscovery Team. The goal will be to offer that in-house team additional bandwidth and support. The client has expressed that their preferred candidate will possess the following skill sets and/or experience.
- Strong technical and project management skills
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work as a team and collaborate within the eDiscovery group
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills, and ability to juggle multiple competing obligations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively communicate within all levels of management, including in-house counsel and paralegals
- Ability to effectively communicate with outside counsel and eDiscovery vendors
- Experience with, or understanding of, ITS collection process
- Ability to advise case teams on custodial and non-custodial collection best practices, and to monitor scope of data collections in relation to size and complexity of matters
- Ability to act as a liaison between the ITS collection team and outside counsel, in-house case teams and eDiscovery vendors
- Document review experience, including familiarity with document collection and eDiscovery technology and technology enhancements
- Solid understanding of document review program procedures (SIR, SHO, CAL, advanced review efficiency tools such as Brainspace, RAR, etc.)
- Ability to oversee activities of technology and review vendors, including solid judgment to spot issues for internal or case team escalation
- Strong telecommunication skills, and ability to structure and lead conference calls
- Ability to lead matter kick off calls with outside counsel and vendors
- Ability to effectively communicate eDiscovery policies and procedures with outside counsel and in-house case teams

Salary Range
The salary range for this role reflects the range of factors that inform case-by-case compensation decisions including education, experience, training, licensure, certification, and geography as well as the business and organizational needs specific to the role. Compensation ranges may be broad, reflecting flexibility within the budget and title to consider candidates of varied experience. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this role is $85.000 to $88,000. Select roles are additionally eligible for Incentive Compensation in the form of our Annual Performance Bonus Program or Sales Commission Policy.
