Contracts Manager

Job Description:

The Contracts Manager will play a pivotal role for the America's handling all North America and South America contracts for this prominent player in the Energy & Natural Resources industry, ensuring that all contracts align with the organization's strategic objectives and comply with regulatory requirements.

Description

The successful Contracts Manager will be responsible for:

• Managing all aspects of full life-cycle contract development, negotiation, execution, management and renewal.
• Ensuring all contracts align with strategic objectives and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborating with various departments to identify contractual risks and plan mitigation.
• Conducting contract negotiations with clients and vendors.
• Providing advice and guidance to senior management on contractual matters.
• Maintaining a contracts register and implementing a contract management system.
• Developing and implementing contract management procedures and policies.
• Training staff on contract management procedures and policies.
• Working collaboratively with other departments - finance (invoicing), compliance (KYC).

Profile

The successful Contracts Manager will have demonstrable experience:

• 5+ years relevant work experience in an in-house setting handling full life-cycle contract management.
• A solid understanding of contract management - tenders, RFP, negotiations, renewals, execution, management - experience in the Energy & Natural Resources industry highly beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent negotiation skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Strong knowledge of contract management systems and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various departments.
• A solution-oriented mindset and strong decision-making abilities.
• Committed to high quality work and a proven ability to manage multiple contracts and meet deadlines.
