Responsibilities:

Change Orders:

  • Manage the initiation, processing, and documentation of change orders in accordance with project requirements and contractual procedures.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to assess the impact of change orders on schedule, cost, and scope.

Contractual Discussions and Disputes:

  • Lead discussions with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding contractual matters, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Proactively identify and address potential disputes, employing negotiation and conflict resolution techniques to achieve favorable outcomes.

Commercial Terms:

  • Negotiate and finalize commercial terms with subcontractors and suppliers, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Review and analyze commercial agreements to ensure compliance with project specifications and company standards.

Tracking Compliance and Performance:

  • Develop and implement systems to track and monitor the compliance and performance of contractors and suppliers.
  • Conduct regular assessments and audits to verify adherence to contractual requirements and quality standards.

Enforcement of Contractual Obligations:

  • Enforce compliance to contractual obligations by all parties involved, including subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
  • Address non-compliance issues promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary to mitigate risks and ensure project success.

Amendment Preparation and Revisions:

  • Provide assistance in the preparation of contract amendments and revisions in response to changing circumstances or project requirements.
  • Work closely with legal and project management teams to evaluate proposed amendments and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Generate regular reports on contract status, change orders, disputes, and compliance metrics for internal and client review.
  • Collaborate daily with client contract managers and engineering/technical teams to address project challenges, provide updates, and facilitate effective communication.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in contract management within the construction industry, preferably in EPC projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, commercial terms, and contract law.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex contractual issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Certification in Contract Management is considered as an advantage.

  • Accommodation and housekeeping - The consultant can occupy one of the rooms for individual use and during the period of his services. For initial phase and until the buildings have been finished, the accommodation will be also provided in a hotel or similar. The room will be at least 20 m2, with private toilet and shower.
  • Office space fully equipped with furniture, copy/printer, telecoms network, toilets and similar.
  • Personnel Protection Equipment (PPE).
  • Car on site is provided (shared with the team)
