Position Overview: Prime Contract Manager
The Prime Contracts Manager is responsible for facilitating the formation and managing/coordinating the administration of the client contract throughout the life cycle of the project(s).
Responsibilities
- Provide support to business and execution units in the formation of prime contracts
- Facilitate smooth transition from award to execution
- Coordinate with Legal and Risk Management departments
- Review project correspondence
- Support Commercial Project Management and Project Controls in prime contract administration
- Assist Business Development in developing the contract summary
- Participate in department management team reviews
- Work with the project team to identify and maintain the prime contract baseline
- Provide ongoing training
- Ensure compliance to applicable client policy and procedure
- Maintain knowledge bank of clients Prime Contract Management best practices
- Provide specialized troubleshooting
Qualifications
- EPC experience dealing with high profile/high budget projects
- Accredited degree (or global equivalent) in business, law, engineering, construction management or cost engineering
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and management of contracts and subcontracts
- Understanding and experience with multinational business environments
- Experience in pricing, contracts law, contract drafting, administration and negotiation of change orders, risk identification and mitigation, planning, and scheduling
- Proficiency in the formation and administration of prime contracts and subcontracts
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products
- Construction industry experience with relevant bachelor’s degree and/or professional training desired
- 15+ years’ experience in the commercial construction industry
- 10+ years of prime contracts management, legal, procurement & subcontracts, project controls experience preferred
- Expert experience in commercial project management, prime contracts management, legal, procurement & subcontracts, project controls experience
- Significant experience in construction industry; specific to semiconductor plants, clean rooms and tool installs
