General Summary And Purpose
The Contracts Manager will report to the Global Vice President, Business Systems and is responsible for the majority of contracts for a BioLife Solutions to ensure contract terms are as consistent as possible and stakeholders and executives understand the terms they agree to. They work with leadership to establish the company’s goals and ensure each contract meets these objectives and conforms to legislative requirements.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Craft, evaluate, negotiate and execute a wide variety of different contracts covering a range of transactions, emphasis on customer and supplier contracts
- Ability to work with internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers on contract negotiations and issues
- Maintain records for correspondence and documentation in relation to established contracts and those in progress.
- Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters.
- Monitor contracts and coordinate with stakeholders to move forward with close-out, extension or renewal
- Monitor legal risks and obligations, expirations, renewals, deadlines, opt-out windows and termination requirements.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret legal documents and technical documents.
- Basic understanding of purchasing and supply chain procedures
- Ability to work to, develop and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ability to support implementation of contract management system
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once to deadline; Time management and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

This position reports to Global Vice President, Business Systems.
Job Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to create new procedures and workflows
- Proficiency or experience with a contract management system, Gatekeeper preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)
- Experience in SOX controlled environment strongly preferred
- Experience with ISO 9001 or ISO13485 certified businesses preferred
- Job Specifications:
- BA degree in related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years contracts management experience, paralegal, or other comparable experience with responsibility for reviewing, drafting and negotiating the legal terms of a broad range of standard commercial contracts.

The US base salary range for this position at full-time is $81,329 - $130,104 per year. Our salary ranges are determined by position, level, location, and market competitive benchmarks. Individual pay within a level is determined by work location (including geographic pay zone region), job related skills, experience, education, and training.
